LESSON 5 |
The advantages of death!
Psalms 16:8-11
8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand,
I shall not be moved.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also
shall rest in hope.
10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer
thine Holy One to see corruption.
11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of
joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Notes:
King David, a man after God's on heart is expressed considering the
attitude of David a man that was not baptized in God's Spirit yet he
possessed a close relationship with God! His soul regardless of the
weaknesses of his flesh yearned after God which also inspired him to
write the Book of Psalms. He was a man in the mist of great weaknesses
repented before God continually and as a result he always recieved God's
Grace and Mercy! In respond to this in the Millenuim Age the Lord Himself
will occupy the Throne of David! As being not only the Son of God but
the Son of David yet He is Lord of All!
Son of God = God Manifested in Flesh, Son of David of his descent.
Psalms 23:1-6
1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Notes: director and provider, I desire no other!
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the
still waters.
Notes: His provisions are always prosperous and he leads me to
places that fulfill my thirst!
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
Notes: what the world has taken away he gives back, righteousness
can only be connected to his name!
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will
fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort
me.
Notes: never alone because of your eternal presence!
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Notes: my enemies experience the blessings of my God through
the table of victory that the He places before me, and my joy is so
great that the my cup of testimony over flows, can’t say enough good
about the Lord! As an everlasting testimony I trust in His goodness
and mercy all the days of my life therefore I will remain in His house
forever!
Hebrews 12:14-17
14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall
see the Lord:
15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any
root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for
one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the
blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though
he sought it carefully with tears.
Notes: tears of repentance, yet repentance cannot be found; make
love and peace and never continue in war with any man, for the God we
serve seeks holiness!
