A Christmas story - God came to us

Once upon a time there was a king. He was the mightiest king of all kings. He had all power over the kingdoms of the earth and of course his own, which remains forever. Around His throne was a glory that no human eye had ever seen. He was a king from another world. Even His servants were powerful and glorious, and could not be compared to the highest and most wonderful ones of this earth, and in His presence he tolerated only the good and pure. When some of His servants allowed evil to grow within them, he threw them out of His kingdom.

Despite all His glory and power, there was a great humbleness and love in Him, so that he had great compassion with all those that were feeble and poor. In order to help the weak, the sick, and the despised, nothing was too hard for Him. He did not look on the outward appearance or if the person was rich or poor. This king had a wonderful bride. He was engaged with her, but had not taken her to Him yet. He had a great desire for His bride and loved her more than anything else. It really had been love at first sight. Due to the fact that this king was not only rich and all-powerful, but also had all knowledge, He saw this bride in His spirit before she was born and before she had this beauty that He was to give her -- because before the king had given her His glory she had been ugly and unclean.

The king was willing to pay any price for this bride. The price exceeded all - He knew that it would cost Him His very life because of her sin, according to His legal and eternal law; she was in prison, sentenced to death. To release her, He Himself had to take her place in punishment and die instead of her. Perhaps you think that this story has no happy end – that there will be no royal wedding after all; the bride is already a widow, before she could get married - but wait and see.

Due to this king having no beginning and no end, but rather He is the beginning and the end Himself, it is not possible for Him to die. He is not limited to time because He is the everlasting king. Contrary to Him, His bride lives on the earth and has flesh and blood, which means that she is mortal. That is why the king left His throne and His exceeding glorious world, to come to this world where His bride lives. For that reason, this king, the most magnificent and wonderful One, took on the form of man; and on top of all that, He was born in the poorest of conditions.

Since the earth belongs to Him, He could say, he came unto his own but his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become the sons of God (John 1:11-12) He chose to be born in a little town called Bethlehem. He was to be raised by a poor, unknown family in Nazareth in Galilee, and would destroy the plans of the wicked one. The wicked one and his followers were those that He already had thrown out of His kingdom, and they did have the keys of the prison in which His bride was. Because of the sin of her forefathers, these dark adversaries of the king had gained power over all of them.

But with the king that came, no sin was found. Three years long He performed great signs and miracles that only He could do. And when the wicked one and those that did not receive Him, wanted to get rid of Him, with the most humiliating way of dying, they did not realize the fact that they would have to release His bride by letting Him take the punishment in her place. If the princes of this world had known that, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. (1 Cor.2;8)

Everything happened according to the plan of the king as He had already predicted. He freed His bride and will soon take her home. He will let her partake in His glory, and she will also receive His eternal and glorious nature. His bride is wonderfully adorned, because this king soon will celebrate the most beautiful wedding that has ever taken place. His people that carry His name are His bride. And all those that have not taken on His name, the groom is also trying to win them to Him for a short while still, and His bride is helping Him. He has bought His bride with His own blood that takes away all spots and sins. This plan of salvation is written in the Bible, and many of us have already become His children. For those that have not heard about it yet you can find out it for yourself in Acts 2:38, what you have to do.

Clothed with His glory, He will soon take us home into His magnificent kingdom. His bride will eternally exalt and praise Him with gratefulness for what He has done for her, and she will be full of joy throughout eternity being with her king, who is now her loving husband.

Praise, thanks and glory unto you King Jesus forever, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Almighty God and Saviour – Jesus Christ! You can also read in Psalm 45 about this royal wedding, and in many other scriptures in the Bible. If you belong already to His bride, then praise Him now right where you are. Hallelujah!!! ra
