Hebrew 12,2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

A few weeks ago a new year began, and the days, weeks, and months will no doubt be flying by very fast. Resolutions which were made can quickly be forgotten. Therefore, we should live each day as if it were the first day of the new year. Make firm decisions and have purposeful intentions - plan in such a way that great things will happen. Act accordingly so that these plans will be accomplished. We don’t have any guarantee for tomorrow, not even for the next breath of air which we take. I’m not saying this to scare you, but rather, I’m trying to make it clear that we really do need to make something out of our lives.

Live with a goal and a purpose! Wake up early tomorrow and wish yourself a “Happy New Year!” When you wake up on the following day, do the same... and on the day after... and on the day after that etc.

Lord Jesus, let us live each day with this “New Year concept”. Let us wake up every new day, being ready for new opportunities, having new plans, new resolutions and intentions. Yesterday has now become yesterday, and all the failures and mistakes have vanished from our sight. We’re focusing on today, we’re focusing on this “New Year” as a completely brand new and fresh start. Let the celebrations and the party begin! mst
