In the name of Jesus Christ

In the Old Testament people brought sheep to give them as a sacrifice in order that sins are forgiven from God. According to the Jewish Law these sheep must be perfect and without blemish to be acceptable to God.

But in the New Testament things have changed. When John the Baptist saw Jesus coming towards him, He said, quote: Joh 1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

Jesus was this Lamb of God without blemish and complete, who came to take upon Himself the sins of all humanity and to nail them upon the cross. He is also our Passover lamb (Pesach) that is slain for us.

As we approach this upcoming Passover Day, let us always remember the price, which Jesus paid on the cross and celebrate this day as it is written in 1Co 5:7-8 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. es
